Warnert Racing’s Francis Pelletier Wins in Salamanca, NY

Daniel Benham Finishes 2nd & 4th in Pro Class

St. Cloud, MN (2/24/2020) – After a weekend break in the race schedule, Warnert Racing packed up and drove to Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino in Salamanca, NY for the sixth stop of the 8 stop Snocross race season.

The team kicked things off on a high note Friday night landing on the podium twice. Daniel Benham captured second in Pro class and Francis Pelletier with a dominating performance went on to win the Pro Lite Class.

The Canadian Lumberjack Francis Pelletier continued to charge hard all weekend long to hold onto his well deserved red points leader number plate in the Pro Lite Class. Pelletier was on fire during his heats putting a good amount of space between himself and the rest of the field to go onto win both qualifiers.

“It was a good weekend for me. I qualified first all weekend. My main focus was to get the holeshot and get out front early. My Makita Tools Rockstar Energy Ski-Doo was just ripping this weekend!”, said Francis “Frank” Pelletier

Unfortunately, on Saturday lady luck wasn’t on Frank’s side. Off the line in the Pro Lite Main, Pellier was racing in a close second and was pressuring for a pass into the lead when the leader made a mistake in a corner causing him and Pelletier to get tangled up pushing each of them to the back of the pack.

In the Pro Class, Daniel Benham had a consistent weekend in the Empire State aboard the #221 Ski-Doo. Finishing 1-3 in his qualifying heats on Friday, Beham carried that momentum into the final where he captured second in the Pro Class.

“I was able to find some good lines out there. ENZO KYB did a great job dialing in my shocks and my clutching was on point thanks to Speedwerx!” explained Daniel Benham

On Saturday, Benham was battling a flu that he caught the night prior. Even though his energy was down with being sick, he was able to battle through a chaotic final just shy of the Pro podium in 4th.

The next stop for the team will be a little closer to home in Grand Rapids, Michigan which will take place on March 13th and 14th.
