Benham and Pelletier Win at Deadwood

Snocross - Stop 4 - Day’s of 76’ - Deadwood, SD

St. Cloud, MN (1/27/2019) – Warnert Racing made their way to historic Deadwood, SD for the fourth stop of the season. The Day’s of 76” Arena played host to this round, which draws a huge crowd each year with its nearly 360-degree viewing areas. After two days of fast-paced racing, Warnert Racing snagged two wins and one additional podium finishing in second place, making it a successful weekend to say the least!

Warnert Racing team newcomer Daniel Benham has been a podium contender all season long aboard his new Makita Tools Rockstar Energy backed Ski-Doo.  Benham turned consistent lap times and won both of his heats on Saturday. The Minnesota native carried that momentum into the final on Saturday to earn his first-ever win aboard a Ski-Doo!

“The only way to explain today is it was perfect, 3 holeshots, 3 wins. I was able to lead the race from start to finish. The sled was working incredible, Makita Tools, Rockstar, Ski-Doo– we just have the backing to provide us a really good snowmobile. It was flawless all day!” stated Daniel Benham

After earning three second-place finishes at the last Snocross round in Shakopee, MN, Pro-Lite racer Francis “Frank” Pelletier once again landed on the podium each night. Although Pelletier was photographed on the podium in second on Friday, it was determined after the podium that he would have to trade in his silver medal for a gold medal, which he had no problem doing so. A penalty was applied to the first-place finisher for jumping on a yellow flag, which then awarded #220, Francis, the win!

“I had a pretty good weekend. On Friday I took the win and then on Saturday I earned second place. My Makita Tools Rockstar Energy Ski-Doo was going so fast thanks to Steve Houle’s clutching from Speedwerx and the handling was perfect all weekend long thanks to Enzo KYB,” explained Francis “Frank” Pelletier
